Hey Jivan,
Nice to "see you" checking out my blog. I'm having a lot of fun with it plus helping my patients, and myself, by making information available that I usually don't have time to give to individually. By the way, what are you doing this summer? If you were interested, we might be able to give you some work here in Ashland to cover our clinic with a Tai Hsuan graduate. We usually just close up shop, but having someone we trust to fill in and take good care of our patients would be awesome. Let me know.......
With affection and love,
Leslie Shanai

Leslie, I love your comments about exercise and aging. I will definitely use the analogy that "Each tree needs different conditions to thrive. For deficiency conditions, less is generally more". So many of my patients push themselves to the point of injury and illness. Eastern medicine has so much wisdom: Listen to the body, respect its limitations, work with it rather than against it. I love the concept of a savings account and energy!

Leslie, I assume this article on blood deficiency is the one you referred me to, which you called "How low is too Low?"
I will start eating a heavier breakfast. I am going to be adding raw goat milk whey for a while. I am not vegetarian, as I recognize that animal protein is strengthening for me. And, yes, I have been making bone broth with some regularity. Thanks for posting and directing me to this.

I would like to try this workshop, I do have some questions as to weather I can do the exercises. I have some stiffness/soreness from an old car accident in my neck and back. some days this interferes with my being able to do certain exercises.I have tried yoga, and it causes more pain. even walking can at times be difficult.I never know until the day of an event if I will be able to participate.

Hi Mele,
What a great idea to add powdered herb formulas to the ginger tea; makes them yummier plus more easily assimilated. Thanks for the tip, I love it.

Hi Leslie,

Thanks for the delicious recipe! I find it also helps quite a bit with my digestion, especially if I feel queasy or have eaten something that does not quite agree with me. And I love brewing Ginger tea and adding the powdered herbs you prescribe; seems to help me digest the herbs better:-) Looking forward to seeing you again soon, Mele

Hi Zac,
Thanks for the reminder about the usefulness of adding Qi Kung to the aids in assisting cold/flu prevention. Most people probably don't realize that Qi Kung is how acupuncture originated. Becoming adept at Qi Kung requires a commitment, but the payoff is huge: essentially becoming your own doctor by self regulating your Qi rather than an acupuncturist moving and balancing your Qi. People's Choice is here to help serve you in serving yourself. We now offer Qi Kung classes for those who are interested in taking the next step towards a healthy body , spirit and mind.
Yours in partnership,
Leslie Shanai
